Elementary French

 This course presents an introductory study of French phonetics and grammar intended to teach the student to understand by listening, speaking, reading, and writing basic French. Extensive oral practice is given in class. Students will also learn about the francophone culture.

Elementary Japanese

 The course aims at enhancing the basic skills for conversation, reading and writing using basic grammar and vocabulary of Japanese language. Students will discuss the culture and traditions of Japan. Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities, such as conversing in simulated social situations.
